One of the first properties in Malaysia that uses 100 per cent sustainable energy has been opened by Western International.
The Best Western Premier The Haven, Ipoh offers 100 rooms and suites all equipped with flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi.
The resorts offers other amenities such as a four-level lagoon-style swimming pool, tropical gardens, a jogging track, barbecue and picnic areas, a gymnasium, badminton and tennis courts, a children’s playground, café and restaurant.
It boasts environmental credentials such as 100 per cent renewable energy harnessed from the power of the wind and sun, and harvests rainwater for use elsewhere in the property.
The Best Western Premier The Haven, Ipo is Best Western’s fourth hotel in Malaysia, following existing properties in Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan.

World’s costliest coffee at Anantara Resorts, Maldives properties
Anantara Resorts has debuted some of the world’s costliest coffee at its Maldives properties and at Anantara’s Golden Triangle property in Thailand.
Indeed, the special coffee beans, "BLACK IVORY" are harvested from elephant dung and are sold at $1,100 per kilogram. The beans are digested by an elephant before you drink it.

There are only 50 kilograms, or about 110 pounds, currently for sale.
According to Anantara Group, Black Ivory coffee beans are “naturally refined” by Thai elephants. Research indicates that during digestion, the enzymes of the elephant break down coffee protein, according to the resort. Protein is one of the factors responsible for bitterness in coffee: less protein, less bitterness.

Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, former part of Starwood’s Luxury Collection, has relaunched its Grande and Premier Rooms, with the Luxury Rooms and Luxury Suites to follow in a later phase.
Styled by an Australian designer Diana Simpson, and furnished in a contemporary Thai style using wood and marble, the beds now feature gold-coloured headboards printed with Thai patterns, while rooms also feature local artworks and antiques, along with new drapes and carpets.
The bathrooms feature separate bathtubs and large showers, while in-room amenities include 40-inch flat screen Samsung LED TVs with an IPTV option, a media hub with HDMi, Bluetooth and a USB ports, and high-speed internet.
Both rooms, the Grande and Premier Rooms measure 45m², with large windows offering views of the Bangkok skyline or Lake Ratchada.
